How to Make the Perfect Salmon and caper sauce

Our salmon and caper sauce is a delicious, healthy way to enjoy seafood. This rich and creamy sauce is perfect for dressing up simple pan-fried, baked, or grilled salmon fillets. The sweet and sour flavors of the capers perfectly complement the oily, rich salmon, while the lemon juice brightens everything up.

Here's a recipe for Salmon with Caper Sauce:

Ingredients:

- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each), skinless

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons capers, drained

- 1/4 cup dry white wine

- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, presentation side down (the side that will be facing up when served), and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Add the capers to the skillet and stir them with the garlic for about 1 minute.

5. Pour the white wine into the skillet and scrape the bottom to deglaze, stirring to incorporate the flavors. Allow the wine to simmer for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

6. Add the chicken or vegetable broth to the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.

7. Stir in the lemon juice and season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

8. Return the cooked salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the caper sauce over them. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the salmon through.

9. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the salmon and sauce.

10. Serve the Salmon with Caper Sauce hot, accompanied by your choice of side dishes such as steamed vegetables or roasted potatoes.

The Salmon with Caper Sauce is a flavorful and elegant dish that combines the richness of the salmon with the tanginess of the capers and the brightness of the lemon. Enjoy!
