Add a little soy sauce and hot sauce to taste, and you have a hearty breakfast that will keep you satisfied until lunchtime.

Here's a recipe for Chinese-style Beef Fried Rice:

Ingredients:

- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old rice)

- 8 ounces beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced

- 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, corn, diced bell peppers)

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 1 tablespoon soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce (optional, for color)

- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

- 2 eggs, lightly beaten

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat a wok or a large frying pan over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and swirl it around to coat the surface.

2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the hot pan and stir-fry until it's browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.

3. In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they're tender-crisp.

5. Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the empty space. Allow the eggs to set slightly, then scramble them until they're cooked through.

6. Add the cooked rice to the pan and break up any clumps with a spatula. Stir-fry the rice and vegetables together for a couple of minutes until they're well combined.

7. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and dark soy sauce (if using). Pour the sauce over the rice and stir-fry for another minute or two, ensuring that the sauce coats the rice evenly.

8. Add the cooked beef back to the pan and stir-fry everything together for a final minute to heat through.

9. Taste the fried rice and season with salt and pepper as needed.

10. Remove the pan from heat and drizzle sesame oil over the fried rice. Stir to incorporate.

11. Garnish the Beef Fried Rice with chopped green onions.

Serve the Chinese-style Beef Fried Rice hot and enjoy the delicious combination of tender beef, savory rice, and vibrant vegetables. It's a satisfying and flavorful dish with a touch of Asian flair.
